Friday Night Fights: French Kicking In The USA

It's the start of a new contest in Spacebooger's Friday Night Fight theme called G7-Fight Music. This time, instead of one panel of pain, each fight has a musical theme linking to a song or some lyrics. So, tonight, to "kick" (ha ha) things off, I thought I'd stick to an old favourite - Batroc Ze Leapair!

And tonight's wonderful nine-panel page of pugilistic pounding involves the foot-fighting Frenchmen attacking the living symbol of US of A, Captain America. Which links us to this week's song:

Friday Night Fights: Wak

Wow! It's looks like I won last week's Friday Night Fight with my picture of Batroc Ze Leapair! Fantastic. Let's see if I can keep on a roll.

Anyway, tonight it's the turn of Kurt Wagner to deliver a swift and powerful uppercut to "Peter" (aka Nigel Orpington-Smythe), leader of the RCX. One of my favourite X-Men by one of my favourite artists - what more couldI ask for?

Friday Night Fights: Ze Leapair

It's time for Spacebooger's Friday Night Fight again! And this week's One Panel of Pain stars one of my favourite Captain America villains of all time - Batroc Ze Leapair!

Now, I sort of wonder whether this panel has been put forward as a Friday Night Fights entry before because it seems an obvious choice. But I can't remember seeing it - although my memory ain't that great. Apologies if it's been used before...

Anyhow, here Batroc doesn't fight his usual Marvel Universe adversaries but instead goes toe-to-chin with the caped crusader himself - Batman. And, surprisingly he actually gets the drop on the Dark Knight! Sacre Bleu et Zut Alors!

Friday Night Fights: Gut Shot

It's the end of the week so it's time for One Panel of Pain as part of Spacebooger's Friday Night Fight. This time - keeping with the Geoff Johns theme of last week - it's time for Dr Light to get his own back on the Teen Titans by blasting Cyborg's gut to smithereens. I'm not sure what all that white gloop is though!

Don't worry Cyborg fans - he gets better and Dr Light is defeated. Phew!

Friday Night Fights: Eye-Popping

It's Friday again and time for Spacebooger's wince-inducing Friday Night Fight's One Panel of Pain.

Last week, in spite of a bloody entry, I didn't manage to hold on to the title. Still, let's try some blood and brains again this week and see how well that goes down a second time (hopefully with a better scan this week). And let's try an old faithful - yes, that, erm, infamous scene from Infinite Crisis where Black Adam pushes his fingers through Psycho-Pirate's head. Gruesome! I love the little touch with the eye...

Friday Night Fights: Invincible

Wahay! I actually won last week's Friday Night Fight, with a poorly scanned-in Avengers image. I'm guessing the George Perez art helped. Must keep that in mind in the future.

Anyway, enough of the celebrations. It's that time again for another Friday Night Fights: One Panel of Pain, hosted by Spacebooger.

And this time, it's Invincible who's taking a beating. To be honest I could pretty much post any panel of issue #12 of Invincible because there's so much pain in there. But here's Invincible himself getting smacked around by his father, Omni-Man.

Friday Night Fights: Brotherly Love

It's Friday, it's five to five, it's Cracker... erm, Friday Night Fights! So, in response to Spacebooger's One Panel of Pain challenge, here's tonight's.

This time it's synthezoid versus ionic being as Vision fights Wonder Man for Wanda's affections. Vizh hits so hard he almost punches Simon out of the panel and into our faces. Looks like Wonder Man's been eating Kirby Krackle for breakfast again.

It's Friday again. That means it's time for Friday Night Fights and Spacebooger's One Panel of Pain. So let's go.

Today it's time for Bart Allen, aka Impulse (before he was aged, lost his appealing impulsiveness, became Flash, and then died), to deliver a superspeed double-kick-to-the-face! Sounds like Bart broke the poor evil henchman's jaw there.
